As a responsible parent, you must have a check and control over your child’s activity on the web. And you can do so if you have Xfinity internet connection. Xfinity helps to control or restrict your children’s access to anything on the Internet. Just Sign in to Xfinity Wifi, and you will find all the options and settings for parental control.
Following are methods or features provided by the Xfinity to control your child’s activity on the web.
- Pause and Bedtime Mode
Sign in to Xfinity Wifi with your login credentials. Under Home Network Customization, you will see the list of devices under scheduled (Bedtime) or blocked (Pause) status. Choose accordingly. You can also check for the procedure for activating your Xfinity service from the blog out here.
- Set up Website Blocking
Block the website which you do not want your child to see by going to Parental Control and then Managed Sites, and enable it. Now enter the keywords that will appear on that particular website, you can set up a schedule as well.
- Managed Devices
You can add devices connected to your WiFi which you wish to block.
- Go to Parental Controls and then Managed Devices.
- It will display the list of devices that can be controlled. Select Enable.
- Check the Add button for the PC you want to limit – if you don’t see the PC, you would like to add, make sure it is turned on and then click the Refresh button.
- Managed Services
- Navigate to Parental Control > Managed Services. The Managed Services menu enables you to restrict access to applications and services.
- Select Enable, then block the services by adding and defining services which you want to block.
- You can also add a particular PC or mobile connected to your network to restrict that particular service on that device only.
